The inspiration for commonFont’s name was taken from a fountain in a public piazza in Italy; spring-fed, ever-flowing, and shared by everyone in the community. Like a fountain that is continually flowing, commonFont exists to positively impact the lives of everyone we touch.
We call this our “Spirit of Service,” and it is a core value that informs the ways in which we work with our clients, teammates, and the community. In the community, our approach to volunteerism and charitable giving places special emphasis on organizations that serve in the following ways:
- Direct Service to People in Need – Our communities are strongest when all people are able to thrive. We have prioritized charitable giving to organizations providing services that combat hardships such as homelessness, food insecurity/hunger, and lack of job training or education.
- Enjoyment, Protection, and Preservation of Natural Resources – The mountains of Montana and coastlines of Rhode Island create shared experiences and connections within our states. These natural resources require stewardship and care so they can be enjoyed.
There are several other ways in which teammates participate in and influence commonFont’s work with charitable organizations:
- Matching Gift Contributions – commonFont offers company-sponsored matching during Montana’s Give Big Gallatin Valley and Rhode Island’s 401 Gives. Both of these events feature donation campaigns for hundreds of non-profit organizations in our communities.
- Direct Volunteerism – In both our Bozeman and Providence offices, we organize and support company-sponsored volunteer events at least twice per year, in which teams volunteer together on a morning or afternoon during the workweek. We track and report on hours volunteered as well as the impact on our communities.
Community involvement is just one of the benefits of working at commonFont! Visit our Careers page to learn more about our company culture and see why commonFont was named as one of Outside Magazine’s Best Places to Work in 2020 and 2021.
